Hoshiarpur: The University School of Law at Rayat Bahra Professional University organized an awareness rally to raise awareness about cybercrime among the residents of Bohan village. The rally was organized under the theme "Think Before You Click: Cyber ??Law for a Safe Digital Life." The program was organized under the guidance of Dean Dr. Ranganath Singh and Head of the Department Dr. Priyanka Puri.
Providing information, Assistant Professor Alka Rani stated that 65 students and four paralegal volunteers from the department actively participated in the rally. Holding placards with awareness messages, the students encouraged people to practice cybersecurity and adopt responsible digital behavior.
People were informed about the increasing prevalence of cybercrimes, such as online fraud, identity theft, cyberbullying, and misuse of social media.
Assistant Professor Rahul Madhara, coordinator of this rally, said that during the rally, the students went door to door in the village and made the villagers aware and also made them aware about the measures to prevent cyber crimes and the legal provisions available under cyber laws.
