Ayodhya:- The police investigation into the Ram temple gift theft case is ongoing. The accused are being questioned in jail. Raids are also being conducted at their premises. So far, it has been claimed that an amount of up to ?80 lakh has been recovered.
The Special Investigation Team investigating the case recovered a box from the room of accused Avinash Shukla, on which the words "Ramrajya Kosh" were written and a Paytm QR code. A video of it is going viral on social media.
Shyam Sadhanalaya's yoga teacher Seema Tiwari told Amar Ujala that Avinash Shukla had been living in Ayodhya for the last one and a half years and was involved in activities related to the Ram temple. According to her, Avinash was introduced to the temple through yoga guru Dr. Chaitanya and his brother Abhishek.
Meanwhile, Sundarlal, a servant and eyewitness of June 5, said that the police, along with some other people, brought Avinash to his rented house that day. According to him, a bag containing some cash was taken out of the house. He was then released, and the police took Avinash with them. However, these statements have not been confirmed. The police are investigating the matter, and no official information has been released about the amount of cash recovered or its source.
