Nawanshahr:- Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Gulpreet Singh Aulakh honored two young girls of the district. Who made a name for themselves by performing brilliantly in the recently declared Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination results. Rakhi, a resident of Balachaur city, secured an impressive All India Rank (AIR) of 65 in the prestigious examination. While Kritika Chaudhary, a resident of village Karimpur Dhiani under Balachaur tehsil, secured AIR 315.
Both the successful candidates met the Deputy Commissioner at the District Administrative Complex on the special invitation of the District Administration. Their family members were also present with them on the occasion. During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner honored both the successful girls and congratulated them for clearing one of the toughest competitive examinations of the country.
Inspector Rajiv Kumar's daughter Kritika Chaudhary completed her Bachelor's degree from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi, where she was a Gold Medalist and later did her MSc in Psychology from Delhi University, in which she also secured a Gold Medal.
While Rakhi is a pass out from IIT Roorkee and completed her post graduation from Panjab University. Praising her achievement, Deputy Commissioner Gulpreet Singh Aulakh termed her success as a shining example of women empowerment and a source of inspiration for young girls across the district. He said that dedication, hard work and determination always lead to success.
The Deputy Commissioner also congratulated the families of both the candidates and highlighted the important role of parents in guiding children to achieve their goals. He mentioned that when the boundless energy of the youth is channelled in a positive direction, rare success is achieved. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Balbir Raj Singh and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Avneet Kaur were also present on the occasion.
