Karnal, May 28:- Today was a day filled with pride and excitement for the runners of Karnal. A special welcome ceremony was organized by 'Karnal Strides' at the 'Aamvya Sky Dining and Terrace Lounge' to honor Rahul—a runner from Karnal who successfully completed one of the world's toughest endurance triathlon events.
On this occasion, Rahul received a warm welcome from runners, fitness enthusiasts, sports lovers, and city dignitaries, including Amit Gupta from Karnal Strides, Boxing Coach Surender Chauhan, Sumit Maan, Kavita Sandhu, Garima Sharma, Sachindra, Satindra Mehta, Saurav, Vedvrat, Rahul Kaushik, Javed, Hitesh Butani, Varun Sareen, and Ankit Sareen.
Dr. Balbir Virk remarked that Rahul's historic achievement has brought glory not only to Karnal but to the entire nation of India. Meanwhile, social worker Pravesh Gaba stated that Rahul's hard work, discipline, and dedication serve as a source of inspiration for the youth. Rahul recently completed the Ultraman Australia 2026, an extremely grueling three-day competition.
The event requires participants to complete a 10-kilometer ocean swim followed by a 145-kilometer cycling leg on the first day; a 275-kilometer cycling leg on the second day; and an 84.4-kilometer run on the third day. Rahul has previously showcased his talent in numerous international competitions. He has successfully completed other prestigious events as well.
Furthermore, he has participated in several major marathons, including the 100-kilometer Ultra Marathon in Jaisalmer and the 57-kilometer Thailand Ultra Trail. Office bearers associated with Karnal Strides expressed that this achievement of Rahul's would provide a new direction to the culture of endurance sports and fitness within Karnal. During the ceremony, everyone congratulated Rahul and extended their best wishes for his bright future.
It Hurts... When Youth Play Games on Mobile Phones: During a conversation, Rahul remarked that it saddens him to see young people spending hours playing games on their mobile phones. He emphasized that, in today's times, staying fit is absolutely essential; to achieve this, the youth must step away from mobile gaming and turn their attention toward outdoor sports. He noted that sports not only keep the body healthy but also instill discipline, self-confidence, and the resilience to face challenges.
Rahul stated that the growing addiction to mobile phones is physically and mentally weakening the youth, thereby increasing their susceptibility to various ailments. Appealing to the youth, Rahul urged them to take their health seriously—to engage in regular exercise, run, cycle, or participate in any form of outdoor sport.
By doing so, they would not only remain healthy themselves but also bring glory to their district, state, and country. He asserted that if young people channel their efforts in the right direction, they can achieve success in every field. A brighter future, he concluded, can only be built by making fitness an integral part of one's life.
