Rahul Gandhi Did Not Push Deepender Hooda but Entrusted Him with Responsibility: Varun Chaudhary

Ambala, October 15 (R. Singh):- Ambala Lok Sabha MP Varun Chaudhary clarified the viral video of Rahul Gandhi and Deepender Hooda, saying that Rahul Gandhi did not push Deepender Hooda but instead entrusted him with responsibility. The MP was in Ambala city today to meet Congress workers and listen to people’s problems.

During the meeting, he raised questions about the BJP government in Haryana regarding the bureaucracy and transparency in sanitation tenders. He said there must be transparency in the use of public funds. He expressed suspicion of irregularities over tender documents not being made publicly available despite being intended for public disclosure and demanded that the documents be released.

Regarding the barricading of protesters in Delhi and Rahul Gandhi’s detention, Chaudhary alleged that the BJP was attempting to suppress democratic voices. He said peaceful protest is a citizen’s right and that the struggle to protect democracy would continue.

Varun Chaudhary also visited the Raipur Rani and Naraingarh mandis today. Criticising the BJP government’s paddy procurement policy, he said that although the BJP government claims to purchase every grain, it is procuring paddy one grain at a time.

He said that sitting in air-conditioned rooms, the government had fixed a per-acre procurement limit for every district in Haryana and had not removed the limit despite repeated requests from farmers. For Ambala district, the procurement limit has been set at 26 quintals and 26 kilograms per acre.

He said farming is not a factory: a farmer whose yield is 20 quintals per acre will bring 20 quintals to the mandi, while a farmer producing 28 quintals per acre will bring 28 quintals. The question, he said, is where farmers should take their produce when it exceeds 26 quintals per acre.

He added that last year the limit was 30 quintals plus 10 per cent, and questioned why the situation had changed this year. He demanded the immediate withdrawal of the imposed condition and action against the official who had still not verified the portal.
