Chandigarh- Punjab Red Cross Society Chandigarh in collaboration with Punjab Red Cross Saket Hospital De-Addiction Integrated Center Patiala celebrated Diwali and Bandi Chhor Diwas by distributing blankets and masks to patients admitted to Mata Kushallya Hospital, Rajindra Hospital and Padma Shri Dr. Khusdeva Singh Chest Diseases Hospital.
Punjab Red Cross Secretary Mr. Shiv Dular Singh Dhillon Senior IAS (Retd) with the support of Dr. Vishal Chopra Medical Superintendent and Dr. Vikas Goyal Senior Medical Officer, provided more than 100 blankets to patients as Diwali gifts.
Along with them, Parminder Kaur Manchanda Director Punjab Red Cross De-Addiction Integrated Center Patiala also prayed for the speedy recovery of the patients. Mata Kushallya Hospital offered 10 children born on Diwali day as a gift from Goddess Lakshmi and God and offered them blankets, fruits and namaskar.
They were supported by Kaka Ram Verma, retired training supervisor of Red Cross and counselor and other staff members of the Integrated Detoxification Center. Hospital employees and patients thanked the officials of the Red Cross Society.
