Bhawanigarh, 3rd August:- MLA of Sangrur constituency Mrs. Narinder Kaur Bharaj organized public meeting programs in villages Santokhpura, Rasulpur Chhanna, Bakhtra, Dialpura, Bhakopir and Skraudi of the constituency. During these programs, she interacted face-to-face with the villagers, listened carefully to their problems, demands and suggestions regarding development and gave necessary directions to the officers of the concerned departments for immediate and time-bound disposal of the genuine issues of the people.
MLA Narinder Kaur Bharaj said that under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is providing transparent, accountable and door-to-door administration to the people. She said that the purpose of public meetings is not only to listen to the complaints of the people, but also to ensure their permanent solution, so that common people do not have to make repeated rounds of government offices.
She said that continuous development works are being carried out to strengthen basic amenities in every village of Sangrur constituency. Grants worth crores of rupees are being released for the development of streets and drains, drinking water, sewerage, street lights, parks, playgrounds and other public facilities in villages, so that the residents of villages can get modern and convenient living environment.
On this occasion, the MLA handed over a cheque of a grant of Rs 8.50 lakh to the village Panchayat for construction of streets in village Bakhtra. She told that with the grants already released for other villages, development works are going on war footing and continuous monitoring is being done to complete them within the stipulated time with high quality.
MLA Narinder Kaur Bharaj also gave detailed information to the villagers about various public welfare schemes being run by the Punjab Government. She said that the aim of the government is to deliver the benefit of government schemes to every eligible family. She appealed to the people to take maximum benefit of government schemes and also make the eligible beneficiaries around them aware about these schemes.
She said that cooperation and suggestions of people are very important for the all-round development of Sangrur constituency. Development plans are being implemented keeping in mind the needs and priorities of the people, so that balanced and sustainable development can be ensured in every village.
On this occasion, apart from all the Panchayats, Tejwinder Singh Santokhpura, Chamkaur Singh Kheri Chandwan, Lakhwinder Singh Phagguwal, Harjit Singh Bhakopir, Kewal Singh Dialpura, Chamkaur Singh Dialpura, Ricky Sarpanch, Avtar Singh Skraudi including a large number of prominent persons, Panches-Sarpanches and villagers were present.
