Patiala 21 January:- Punjab Subordinate Service Federation and Class Four Government Employees Union Punjab (1680) after a long struggle regarding the pending demands of the employees in the Water Resources Department, held a meeting with Water Resources Minister Mr. Baridhar Kumar Goel at Dini Sinchai Bhawan, Chandigarh and discussed about a dozen demands.
On this occasion, the attack on the chief engineer of the department and other officials was joined by the organization's leaders Sukhdev Singh Surtapuri, Darshan Singh Lubana, Krishan Prasad, Buta Ram Kamboj Abohar, Krishan Kumar Bathinda, Gurbinder Singh Fazilka, Fateh Singh Mohali, Balbir Singh, Pritam Chand Thakur and others.
The long-running meeting included demands such as reinstatement of posts abolished after the reorganization of the department, fixing duty hours of regional employees, granting gazetted holidays with weekly rest, issuing seniority lists at the divisional/circle level, fixing working hours and bits/tails of gauge readers, issuing budget for seasonal uniforms to regional offices, implementing the Regulation Act 2016, promoting employees who passed under 15% quota of grade four, promoting grade four employees, etc. 
The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere. After this, the Water Resources Minister assured that after issuing these demands, the concerned officers will hold a review meeting again after 15 days. The demands were assured of being implemented effectively.
