Jaito, December 6:- Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Secretary Sardar Pratap Singh has termed the announcement of some organizations to protest on the way to Sri Darbar Sahib on December 7 as against Sikh traditions.
In a statement issued by the office of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Secretary Sardar Pratap Singh said that departmental action has been taken after investigation into the matter of the holy forms of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, in which some people have announced a protest.
He said that these cases have also been heard in the honorable courts, due to which now the talk of protest is motivated only by political interests. He said that some people are deliberately trying to mislead the Sangat on this matter.
Sardar Pratap Singh said that protesting on the roads of Guru Ghars is not justified in any way. This not only affects the Sangat but also violates etiquette.
He appealed to the organizations that announced the dharna to back off from it, considering the feelings of the Sangat who have come to visit Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib from all over the country and abroad and the dignity and etiquette of the holy place.
