Garhshankar- Today, at the call of the Samyukt Kisan Morcha, various farmers' organizations held a protest in front of the Mini Secretariat in Hoshiarpur. Following the protest, a memorandum addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Minister of Punjab was submitted to the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC).
The key demands highlighted in the memorandum included: stopping the alleged injustice against Punjab by excluding the state from the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB), releasing increased limit loans for agricultural societies, reducing the prices of diesel and petrol, lowering the prices of urea and other fertilizers, ensuring the availability of fertilizers, and providing compensation for crops damaged by hailstorms.
On this occasion, a large number of farmers were present, including leaders from various unions such as Kirti Kisan Union (Jagtar Singh Bhinder, Bhupinder Singh Bhunga, Harmesh Singh Dhesi, Kalvinder Singh Chahal), All India Kisan Sabha (Harnek Singh Bhajjal, Gurmesh Singh, Santokh Singh, Teerth Singh Sator), Punjab Kisan Union (Charanjit Singh Bhinder, Jang Bahadur Singh, Jangeer Singh, Chanan Ram), Jamhoori Kisan Sabha (Malkiat Singh Salempur, Santosh Kumar), and BKU Ekta Ugrahan (Rajinder Singh, Shingara Singh Hakimpur, Talwinder Singh Heer).
