Hisar: Preparations for the Shri Surabhi Gau Mahayagya and Shrimad Gau Bhagwat Katha are continuing with great enthusiasm. For this Gau Shakti Jagran Anushthan beginning on 23 March, a meeting was held at Vivekanand Bhavan to review the preparations and responsibilities for various tasks were assigned. It was informed during the meeting that this religious ritual is being organized under the joint aegis of Matribhoomi Seva Sangh, the Gauseva activity of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, and the Keshav Madhav Dham Trust of Kabrel. For the ritual to be held at Saraswati College of Education located on Tosham Road, a grand Kalash Yatra will be taken out on 23 March at 8 AM from the premises of Saraswati College.
From 23 to 30 March, Shri Surabhi Mahayagya will be performed daily at 8:30 AM, and from 23 to 29 March, every day from 4 PM to 6 PM, storyteller Vidushi Bela Pareek Didi Ji will present the Shrimad Gau Bhagwat Katha. On 30 March at 9 AM, the Purnahuti of the Gau Mahayagya will take place, and on the same day at 11 AM, Bhandara will begin.
In the meeting held at Vivekanand Bhavan on Sushila Bhavan Road, members of the Gau Shakti Jagran Anushthan Sanchalan Samiti, including Pawan Jindal, Kamal Sarraf, Vikas Dhal, Randhir Jhajhadiya, Neeraj Kumar Gupta, Rajendra Phogat, Sanjay Sura, Darshan, Satish, and Vinod Arya, were especially present. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding arrangements of buses for devotees from Hisar and nearby areas to travel to and from the ritual venue, selection of the chief yajman, preparation of the list of yajmans, collection of donation money and materials received from volunteers, and door-to-door publicity.
It was also decided that the entire event will remain plastic-free, and no plastic, thermocol, or any other disposable material will be used. In addition, pure indigenous ghee will be used in the Havan. This ghee has been brought from the Pathmeda Gaushala of Rajasthan. Citizens of the city can contribute to this religious ritual by becoming yajmans or through any other form of cooperation.
