Haroli/Una, June 16 (Rajveer Chopra):— Immediately after taking the oath and assuming office, the newly elected Pradhan of Nangal Khurd Panchayat, Jaswant Singh, took decisive action by handing over soil-laden tractor-trolleys passing through the village to the police. According to reports, upon the Pradhan's arrival in the village, locals complained that tractor-trolleys loaded with soil were passing through the village center every day.
Villagers alleged that the drivers operate the vehicles at high speeds and play loud music, causing inconvenience to the general public, the elderly, and children, while also posing a risk of accidents.
Acting on the complaint, Pradhan Jaswant Singh arrived at the scene, intercepted the tractor-trolleys passing through the village, and handed them over to the police. He stated that ensuring the safety and peace of the villagers is his priority and that appropriate action will continue to be taken against those who violate the rules.
The villagers have appreciated this initiative by the Pradhan. They noted that complaints regarding this issue had been raised for a long time, and the action taken has now sparked hope for relief. They have also urged the administration to strictly enforce traffic regulations.
