Nawanshahr- District Magistrate Gulpreet Singh Aulakh, while exercising the powers conferred under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has issued an order that within the district, the medicine Pregabalin shall be dispensed by pharmacies only on the basis of the prescription of a competent doctor and only for the prescribed duration.
In his order, he has clearly stated that pharmacies must also maintain a complete record of Pregabalin. This order will come into effect immediately and will remain in force until 16 May 2026.
