Hansi:– Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Rahul Narwal, the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, Hansi, will conduct an online draw through the District Level Executive Committee by July 22, 2026, for rotavator and laser land leveler machines for general category farmers under the Sub-Mission on Agricultural Mechanization (SMAM) scheme operated under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY).
SDO Dr. Ravindra and Dr. Gopiram Sangwan stated that during the year 2025-26, applications were invited on the departmental portal for 25 types of agricultural implements and machines under the RKVY-SMAM scheme. By the last date, 1,695 farmers from Hansi district had applied for 3,058 agricultural implements and machines.
They informed that for Hansi district, targets of 434 for rotavators and 341 for laser land levelers have been set in the general category. 882 farmers have applied for rotavators and 684 for laser land levelers as their first preference. Due to receiving applications in excess of the set targets, general category farmers for these two agricultural implements will be selected through an online draw.
Assistant Agriculture Engineer Gopiram Sangwan mentioned that farmers who have not selected rotavator or laser land leveler as their first preference can purchase the agricultural implement of their first preference without a draw, provided the documents uploaded on the portal are found to be correct as per the rules.
The Assistant Agriculture Engineer stated that no draw will be conducted for Scheduled Caste farmers. If their applications and documents are found to be correct as per the rules, they will be able to avail the benefits of all eligible agricultural implements applied for.
He said that selected farmers must fulfill all the conditions of the scheme and provide the required documents within the prescribed time limit. After selection by the District Level Executive Committee and approval on the portal, farmers will be able to purchase agricultural implements from a manufacturer or dealer approved by the department of their choice after negotiating the price until August 24, 2026.
He informed that separate targets have been set for Hisar and Hansi districts. The online draw process will be completed with full transparency and impartiality in the presence of the District Level Executive Committee, chaired by the concerned Deputy Commissioner, and the applicant farmers.
