Haryana/Hisar: In line with the 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India) campaign and the guidelines of the Government of India (MyGov), Om Sterling Global University (OSGU) is celebrating the 150th anniversary of 'Vande Mataram' with great enthusiasm through 'Vande Mataram Phase-2'. This series of events, which began on January 19th, will continue until January 26th, Republic Day. University Chancellor Dr. Puneet Goyal and Pro-Chancellor Dr. Poonam Goyal stated in their message that such events awaken a sense of patriotism in students and connect them to their roots.
Throughout this week-long festival, various cultural programs were organized on the university campus. Students presented captivating dance performances to patriotic songs and also created special reels and videos to engage young people through social media. In addition, a ???????? (awareness) rally was organized by the students, which toured the surrounding villages, informing villagers and farmers about the glorious history of Vande Mataram and its 150th anniversary.
To familiarize students with the life and struggles of Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, the composer of Vande Mataram, a special talk program was broadcast on the university's community radio station, 'Bhavyavani 90.0 FM'. Dr. Asha Yadav, as the main speaker, shed light on the lesser-known aspects of Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay's life. Preparations for Republic Day are also in full swing at the university. On January 26th, students will collectively sing 'Vande Mataram' accompanied by various musical instruments, which will be the main highlight of the program.
University Vice-Chancellor Dr. NP Kaushik, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr. Rajendra Singh Chhillar, and Registrar Dr. Satyaveer Singh also congratulated the entire team for the successful organization of the event, stating that for the realization of the 'Viksit Bharat' vision, it is essential for young people to connect with their cultural heritage and a sense of patriotism. The awareness rally organized in rural areas has further strengthened the connection between the university and society.
The program is being successfully conducted by Professor Sangeeta Jain, with Bhavya Vashisht assisting her. Professor Jain stated that the main objective of this event is to instill a deeper sense of patriotism in the students. The university is playing a crucial role in the Developed India campaign.
