Hoshiarpur:- Dr. Satish Kumar Chadha, a resident of Bassi Kalan village and a student of Government School, Bassi Kalan, who currently lives in Canada, donated a generator and four computers to the school. His sister, Suman Chadha, presented these items on his behalf. Dr. Satish’s close friend and classmate, former councilor Sudarshan Dhir, was also present on the occasion. On this occasion, Mr. Dhir expressed his gratitude to Dr. Satish for his special connection with his village and school and his efforts to improve the school and its children.
He also thanked Dr. Satish’s sister, Suman, who lives in England, who kept him connected to his village and soil despite living abroad. He said that Dr. Satish, his wife Indira Chadha and family members dedicated these items in the memory of their parents, Kamla Devi Chadha and Nauhriya Ram Chadha. They also built a cycle shed to protect the children’s bicycles from the sun.
Mr. Dhir further said that Dr. Satish in his message to the children said that children who excel in studies and sports, succeed in life, and any child who brings glory to the school and the village through studies, will be honored. Mr. Dhir further said that during the ceremony, school principal Jatinder Singh honored sister Suman Chadha, Sudarshan Dhir, family members Tulsi Ram and Manoj Kumar and thanked the Chadha family.
Mr. Dhir also honored Principal Jatinder Singh for his services for the achievements of the school.
