Karnal, March 13: Deputy Commissioner Uttam Singh stated that the supply of petrol, diesel, and domestic LPG gas in the district is completely normal. Supplies are being maintained on the same pattern as they were previously—including gas, petrol, and diesel. The general public need not panic. Citizens are advised not to pay heed to any kind of rumors.
Deputy Commissioner Uttam Singh appealed to the public not to give credence to rumors circulating via social media or other channels regarding the supply of LPG gas or petroleum products. He urged citizens to refrain from unnecessary panic and hoarding, as such actions could create an artificial shortage in the market. He further informed that, in a significant letter issued on March 9, 2026, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India (New Delhi), provided necessary guidelines to ensure the supply, proper and equitable distribution, and availability of domestic LPG gas for priority sectors. In compliance with these guidelines, the Government of Haryana is taking all necessary measures with immediate effect. No shortage of any kind—whether in cooking gas, petrol, or diesel supplies—will be allowed to occur in the district.
He added that, with the objective of effectively curbing the theft, black marketing, or unauthorized distribution of gas, petrol, and diesel, strict instructions have been issued to the Superintendent of Police and the District Food and Supplies Controller to conduct special drives, ensure daily reporting of stock levels, and facilitate the prompt redressal of consumer complaints. Consumers may register their complaints on the helpline number 1967.
