Una, October 24:- To streamline traffic and vending arrangements in Una city, the limits of the no-parking and no-vending zone have been extended. Under the orders issued by District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal, the entire road stretch from DC Chowk to Dayal Sweets in Rakkar Colony will now fall under the restricted zone. Earlier, the road stretch from DC Chowk to Om Bhujia Bhandar had been declared a no-parking and no-vending zone.
Extending the earlier orders issued under Sections 115 and 117 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, the boundary of the restricted zone has now been extended up to Dayal Sweets, Rakkar Colony. The provisions, conditions and penalty-related rules of the previous orders will also apply to the extended stretch of road.
The District Magistrate has directed the concerned officials of the Police Department, Municipal Corporation, SDM office and National Highways Public Works Department to ensure strict compliance with the orders.
