Chandigarh: Nissan Motor India has announced total wholesale sales of 9,350 units for August 2026. Last month, the company sold 3,426 units in the domestic market and 5,924 units in international markets.
The company delivered an impressive performance domestically, driven by sustained demand for the Magnite and Gravite models. The excellent market response to the new Nissan Tecton also contributed to this success. On a year-on-year basis, the company recorded a 147% increase in domestic sales.
Under Nissan's 'One Car, One World' strategy, the company has commenced exports of the Nissan Tecton to South Africa, Bhutan, and Nepal. An initial batch of over 1,300 cars has been shipped to these markets. With these exports, the Tecton has embarked on the first phase of its international journey. This India-made SUV will be delivered to customers across markets in the region, showcasing the vehicle's global competitiveness and Nissan's growing operational capabilities in India.
The launch of exports to Nepal and Bhutan will strengthen the SUV's presence in neighboring countries. This move accelerates Nissan's ambition to continuously expand its reach from India into both domestic and export markets.
Saurabh Vats, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, said, "We are continuously expanding the presence of the Nissan Tecton in both domestic and international markets. As we do so, we remain focused on introducing innovative products, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and ensuring sustainable business growth."
