Nawanshahr- As a result of the differences between the lifestyle of the past and the present time, today a situation has arisen where dangerous health problems and serious diseases are increasing, love is decreasing, and an environment of jealousy and hatred is growing. New technology should be used for the development of society, not for destruction. Despite modern technology, the demand and respect for handicrafts made by skilled hands remain intact across the world. These words were expressed by the chief guest Dr. Ajay Bagga, Retired Civil Surgeon and present B.T.O. B.D.C. Blood Center, during a special function held at the local Doaba Sikh National Senior Secondary School.
It is noteworthy that “Upkar Coordination Society” and the school are jointly running the “Headmaster Late Darshan Singh, Cutting and Tailoring Training Center.” A special event was organized to distribute certificates to the students who completed training from here.
While inaugurating the program, Principal Rana Parvinder Singh Jassomajara delivered the welcome address, and School Manager Lahimber Singh Kishanpura presented a bouquet of flowers to the chief guest on behalf of the school. President of Upkar Society, Jaspal Singh Gidda, shared information about the cutting and tailoring training center project and thanked those generous individuals who donated ten modern machines. Director Gurcharan Singh Basiala encouraged the girls to be obedient to their parents, to attain higher education, and to develop qualities of social service.
On this occasion, the ceremony of distributing certificates to thirteen trainees was performed by Dr. Ajay Bagga, Gurcharan Singh Basiala, Birbal Takhi, Dr. Avtar Singh Denowal Kalan, Manager Lahimber Singh Kishanpura, Harbans Kaur, Jyoti Bagga, Rajinder Kaur Gidda, Palwinder Kaur Badwal, Manager Manmeet Singh, Sukhwinder Kaur Sukhhi, Lakhbir Singh Denowal, Rana Parvinder Singh Jassomajara, Simranjit Kaur Takhi, Komal Rani, Sarabjit Kaur, Tamanna, Pooja, Manpreet Kaur, Neetu Rani, Divanshi, Nutan, Mona, Urmila, Manjit Kaur and Sumeet Gill, who presented the certificates one by one with their own hands.
On this occasion, chief guest Dr. Ajay Bagga, Principal Rana Parvinder Singh Jassomajara, Manager Lahimber Singh Kishanpura, and Instructor Komal Rani were honored. In the end, Lahimber Singh Kishanpura thanked all the guests present on behalf of the school. On this occasion, an exhibition of garments and items prepared by the trainees during the cutting and tailoring training was organized in the school, which was keenly observed by the distinguished guests who attended the event and gathered information.
