Hoshiarpur:- Rakesh Kumar Meena, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 2023 batch (Punjab cadre), who recently took charge as Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development), Hoshiarpur, shared his vision and priorities to provide new direction and momentum to the rural development of the district. During a special meeting with renowned social worker and educationist Sanjeev Kumar, he discussed his development roadmap in detail.
Rakesh Kumar Meena stated that the rural development of Hoshiarpur district will be his top priority. He said that all development works will be implemented with transparency, accountability, and a people-centric approach, ensuring that the benefits of government welfare schemes reach every eligible beneficiary on time.
He emphasized that sustainable development will be the foundation of his administration. Special attention will be paid to strengthening rural infrastructure, increasing self-employment opportunities, women empowerment, environmental conservation, and improving the standard of living for rural people. He mentioned that a comprehensive review of all ongoing rural development schemes is being conducted to make them more effective, transparent, and aligned with the needs of the people.
Rakesh Kumar Meena further stated that his administration will work with complete dedication and commitment to implement development plans effectively and on time, ensuring that the benefits of government schemes reach the last person in society.
