Karnal, July 8: DC Dr. Anand Kumar Sharma conducted surprise inspections on Wednesday morning at various departmental offices within the Mini-Secretariat, the Karnal *Patwarkhana*, and the Gharaunda SDM and Tehsil offices. During the visits, he reviewed employee attendance, cleanliness standards, record-keeping, and the services being provided to the public. He directed that show-cause notices be issued to three employees found absent without permission at the Mini-Secretariat offices.
Subsequently, the DC inspected the Gharaunda SDM and Tehsil offices. He directed the SDM to issue show-cause notices to five *Patwaris* absent without prior notice and to deduct one day's salary of employees who were present in the office but failed to mark their attendance in the register or on the biometric system. He instructed that the disposal of pending mutation and land demarcation cases in the Gharaunda Tehsil be expedited and that all tasks be completed in a time-bound manner under the online registration system. He also emphasized the need to pay special attention to cleanliness within the office premises.
During the inspection, DC Dr. Anand Kumar Sharma visited the City Magistrate's office, LPA Branch, Tehsil office, RTI Branch, LFA Branch, *Saral Kendra*, *e-Disha Kendra*, and the SDM office. He made it clear that citizens visiting the Mini-Secretariat should face no inconvenience. All officers and employees must discharge their duties with honesty and dedication, and treat the public with courtesy.
