Hoshiarpur: Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain informed that a grand "Nature Fest-2026" will be organized at Lajwanti Stadium, Hoshiarpur from February 13 to 17. Presiding over a review meeting held today at the District Administrative Complex, she issued necessary instructions to the officers of the concerned departments.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the Nature Fest is an important event for the district, in which a large number of citizens, tourists, students, and various organizations will participate. Therefore, security arrangements, traffic management, cleanliness, and basic amenities should be given top priority. She instructed that robust security arrangements, sufficient CCTV cameras, uninterrupted power supply, rides, safe drinking water facilities, temporary toilets, fire safety arrangements, and the availability of emergency services should be ensured throughout the event area.
During the meeting, the construction of the stage, stall allotment, food stall arrangements, planning of cultural programs, parking, lighting, sanitation, waste management, drinking water, temporary toilets, medical assistance, and other arrangements were reviewed in detail. The Deputy Commissioner instructed all departments to work in coordination and complete the preparations in a timely manner so that Nature Fest-2026 can be made successful, safe, and memorable.
She said that the objective of the Nature Fest is to increase awareness about environmental protection, promote local culture, and strengthen the positive image of the district. For this, the event will be organized in a systematic, disciplined, and public-friendly manner.
On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Vikas Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Amarbir Kaur Bhullar, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Jyoti Bala Mattu, SDM Mukerian Oishi Mandal, SDM Hoshiarpur Gursimranjit Kaur, SP Navneet Kaur, RTO Amandeep Kaur, and Assistant Commissioner Parampreet Singh, along with officers from other concerned departments, were present.
