Una, October 16 – Deputy Commissioner, Una, Jatin Lal, has urged all citizens of the district to fully cooperate with the National Sample Survey. He stated that the Department of Economics and Statistics of the Himachal Pradesh Government, in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation, is conducting this survey on various socio-economic indicators in the state.
He informed that in Una district, the department's enumerators have been collecting information door-to-door through a tab application since September 2025. This work is being carried out in selected villages and urban wards. The information collected through the survey will provide a realistic assessment of the social and economic status of citizens, which will help in making the government's development plans more effective.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that all information provided by citizens will be kept completely confidential. He appealed to the public to provide accurate, precise, and factual information to the survey personnel so that this work can be completed with the highest quality in Una district.
He urged all citizens, government officials, and employees to provide necessary support to field staff in their respective areas. He stated that this survey will play a vital role in developing plans at the district and state levels and in improving the quality of life of the people.
