Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, January 14:- The CIA staff team of District SAS Nagar Police has succeeded in arresting 03 accused and recovering 03 illegal weapons along with cartridges from their car brand Tata Safari.
SSP Harmandeep Singh Hans informed the media today that on 12-01-2026, the police party of CIA staff was present near village Khanpur, Kharar. Where the police party of CIA staff received information that Sehajpreet Singh son of Samarjit Singh resident of village Safari Wind, district Amritsar, resident of house no. 487 Sunny Urban Homes Kharar, Amanpreet Singh alias Ashu son of Spinder Singh resident of village Raipur Kalan, district Mohali and Sachin Singh son of Gurdeep Singh resident of village Mohkam Rai, district Fazilka, resident of house no. 483, first floor Sunny Urban Homes, Kharar, are in possession of illegal weapons and are roaming around on the side of Amyra Greens Kharar-Kurali Road in a car no. UP16-DV-6539 brand Tata Safari to commit an incident with illegal weapons.
On which a case No. 15 dated 12-01-2026 under Section 25-54-59 Arms Act was registered against the above accused at Police Station City Kharar. The accused were arrested from nearby Amyra Greens Society Kharar and illegal arms and ammunition were recovered.
Name and address of accused:-
1. Accused Sachin Singh son of Gurdeep Singh resident of village Mohkam Rai Police Station Jalalabad, District Fazilka Hall resident of House No. 483 Sunny Urban Homes Kharar, Police Station City Kharar, District S.A.S. Nagar whose age is about 22 years, who is a twelve class pass and is unmarried. A case of fight has been registered against the accused at Police Station Maloa Chandigarh.
2. Accused Sehajpreet Singh son of Samarjit Singh resident of village Safari Wind, police station Majitha, district Amritsar, currently resident of house no. 487 Sunny Urban Homes Kharar, police station City Kharar, district SAS Nagar, aged 20 years, who has passed 12 classes and is unmarried. No previous case has been registered against the accused.
3. Accused Amanpreet Singh alias Ashu son of Spinder Singh resident of village Raipur Kalan, police station Sohana, district SAS Nagar, aged 20 years, who has passed 12 classes and is unmarried. No previous case has been registered against the accused.

Interrogation of the accused revealed that the three accused had studied in a local educational institution, due to which all three knew each other. Who had brought these weapons from Rampur, UP in the month of August 2025 due to mutual enmity. The accused are under police remand. From whom more recovery is expected.
