Una, May 8: Under the Urban Local Body Elections-2026, the First Level Checking (FLC) process for Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and VVPAT machines in the district was successfully completed on Friday, in the presence of representatives from various political parties. This information was provided by the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Una, Mahendra Pal Gurjar.
He stated that, following the FLC process, a mock poll will now be conducted on Saturday, May 9. During this exercise—held in the presence of authorized representatives from political parties—1,000 votes will be cast on 10 percent of the total machines.
He further informed that the mock poll proceedings will commence at 7:00 AM in the meeting room located on the fourth floor of the District Election Office, Una. During this time, representatives of the political parties will be able to observe the entire process, thereby ensuring transparency and credibility in the electoral procedure.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner has urged the presidents and secretaries of all recognized political parties to ensure their participation in the mock poll process, either by attending personally or by sending their authorized representatives at the scheduled time.
