Bhawanigarh/Sangrur, 2nd September:- The work of construction and renewal of roads is going on continuously at full pace by the Punjab Government to provide strong and better road infrastructure in the state. Under this, today MLA of Sangrur constituency Narinder Kaur Bharaj got the construction work started of about two and a half kilometer long road to be built at Bhawanigarh at a cost of Rs 1.11 crore.
On this occasion, MLA Narinder Kaur Bharaj said that this road will be built from Shamshan Ghat Road via Kakra Road to Dump. With the construction of this road, residents of Bhawanigarh city and surrounding areas will get great convenience in transportation and daily commuters will get relief.
She said that development works are being given priority by the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to provide better basic facilities to the people. A strong network of roads not only streamlines transportation, but also gives momentum to the commercial and economic development of the area.
The MLA said that the construction work of this road will be completed as per quality standards so that people can get its benefit for a long time. She said that development works are being continuously taken forward as per the needs of the people of the constituency.
On this occasion, dignitaries of the area, local leaders and city residents were present.
