Derabassi (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar), February 09, 2026:- Fulfilling the long-standing demand of the people, MLA of Derabassi constituency Sardar Kuljit Singh Randhawa started the work of Bakarpur to Janetpur road (MC Derabassi) to be built at a cost of about Rs. 1 crore under the Municipal Council Derabassi. The construction of this 8500 feet long and 17 feet wide road will provide great relief to the people.
On this occasion, MLA Randhawa said that strengthening the infrastructure in the area is the priority of the government and with the completion of this road, the local people will get great relief in traffic and development works will be accelerated.
MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa said that the Aam Aadmi Party government led by Bhagwant Singh Mann, Chief Minister of Punjab, is giving priority to development works, roads are being repaired rapidly in Punjab and works are being started continuously. He said that in the coming time, whatever development works are to be done, they will be started.
MLA Randhawa said that the Aam Aadmi Party government is committed to rising above party politics and maintaining mutual brotherhood among the villages. He said that efforts are underway to make Punjab prosperous and colorful Punjab again. While laying the foundation stone of Bakarpur to Janetpur road, he said that the road construction work will be completed within the time limit and the officials of the concerned departments have been clearly told in this regard that no negligence should be done and the people should get this facility as soon as possible.
MLA Randhawa said that his main goal is to provide best facilities to the people of the constituency and the completion of this road will bring a major improvement in the traffic of the area. He directed the officials to complete the work on time and with high quality.
The President of the Municipal Council, Councilors, Block President of the party along with other party office bearers and workers were present in large numbers during the inauguration ceremony.
