Zirakpur (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar), February 18:- District MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa, accelerating the development works at the Municipal Council Zirakpur to relieve the problems faced by the city residents, launched various development works worth a total of Rs 1 crore 92 lakh 47 thousand in Ward No. 27 AKS 1,2,3 of Zirakpur. The main objective of these works is to strengthen the drainage system in the area and improve the condition of the streets/roads.
While laying the foundation stone of these development works, MLA Randhawa informed that among the approved works, Ward No. 27 AKS 1,2,3 includes laying of storm sewer lines, construction and repair of streets, park tubewells, interlock tiles.
MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa said that the Punjab government is committed to the development of urban areas and providing better facilities to the people is the priority of the government. He said that all these works will be started soon and completed within the stipulated time. He said that no stone will be left unturned in making this constituency a model constituency by developing Derabassi on a war footing. Zirakpur city will be made completely clean and beautiful.
He instructed the officials that every penny of all the schemes should be spent honestly on the people and for the development of the state. There will be no shortage of funds for development works.
