Nawanshahr, June 23:- As per the guidelines of the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab, an important meeting was held by the District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Gulpreet Singh Aulakh with representatives of various political parties of the district to smoothly conduct the **Special Intensive Revision-2026 (SIR)** of the voter lists.
During the meeting, the District Election Officer gave detailed information about the schedule of Special Intensive Revision-2026 and said that the BLOs of all the assembly constituencies under the district. During this special campaign starting from 25th June 2026, a copy of the **Enumeration Form (EF)** will be provided to each voter's home and after filling it, they will get it back and submit it to the office of the concerned Electoral Registration Officer.
He informed that on 23rd and 24th June 2026, all the BLOs are holding meetings with the Booth Level Agents (BLAs) appointed by the political parties in their respective polling areas. During these meetings, information regarding mapped and unmapped voters is being shared so that necessary information and assistance can be provided to those voters whose mapping has not yet been done with the 2003 voter list.
The meeting was attended by Jaspreet Singh Ruby Kang and Satnam Jalalpur from Aam Aadmi Party, Jarnail Singh Khalsa, Dinesh Kumar and Harpreet Singh Khalsa from Shiromani Akali Dal, CPI (M.) Jarnail Singh Ranewal and Jaswinder Singh Bhangal, Sarabjit Jafarpur and Harvilas Basra from Bahujan Samaj Party, Subhash Chander and Baljinder Singh from Congress Party and Munish Agnihotri and Gurjit Singh from Bharatiya Janata Party participated.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Sanjeev Sharma, Tehsildar Elections Amandeep Singh and Jasvir Singh P.A. to DC along with other officials of the district administration were also present on this occasion.
District Election Officer Gulpreet Singh Aulakh appealed to the representatives of all political parties to extend active cooperation in this campaign and said that everyone's cooperation is very important to ensure the accuracy and transparency of the voter lists.
