Hansi:— A meeting of the District Cooperative Development Committee was organized at the District Secretariat complex under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rahul Narwal. During the meeting, various schemes and programs operated by the Cooperative Department were reviewed in detail, and in-depth deliberations were held on the relevant agenda items.
The meeting's convener, Satyawan—Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies—presented various agenda items in accordance with the directives issued by the department. During this session, the schemes currently being run by the Cooperative Department, as well as the facilities being provided to the general public, were discussed in detail.
The meeting also included a discussion regarding the allocation of land by the Gram Panchayat for the establishment of a fertilizer sales center in Petwar village. In this regard, a representative from the Hisar District Central Cooperative Bank Ltd. presented the necessary information.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rahul Narwal directed the concerned departments to prepare and submit detailed reports to the department, strictly adhering to the prescribed parameters and in accordance with the directives issued by the Government of India. He further emphasized that concrete efforts must be undertaken to turn around those PACS (Primary Agricultural Credit Societies) that are currently operating at a loss and restore them to profitability.
During the meeting, the progress of the computerization of PACS was also reviewed. Additionally, various initiatives being undertaken by the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India, were discussed in detail.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the officials to ensure the effective implementation of all schemes so that the maximum number of beneficiaries could derive benefit from them.
