Amritsar, May 6:- It is the duty of everyone to maintain the sanctity, code of conduct, and respect of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, Sri Darbar Sahib—the universal center for humanity. Devotees coming for darshan often face inconvenience due to unnecessary questioning by some vloggers and media personnel inside the Parikrama. Therefore, the media should not record videos by questioning anyone inside the Parikrama of Sri Darbar Sahib.
Expressing these views, the Chief Secretary of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Sardar Kulwant Singh Mannan, said that lakhs of devotees arrive at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib daily with immense faith. Questioning devotees during this time not only hurts their religious sentiments but also obstructs the holy code of conduct of the Parikrama.
 He stated that there are already orders from Sri Akal Takht Sahib that no interviews of any kind should be taken inside the Parikrama. He appealed to all media organizations and the journalist community to refrain from conducting any questioning or interview inside. If it is necessary to get a reaction from the devotees on any matter, it should be done at designated spots outside the Parikrama so that devotees do not face any hassle.
He added that it is deeply regrettable that recently, when volunteers stopped a private channel from recording conversations with devotees in the Parikrama, the channel instead raised questions against the volunteers. This is not right, and the media should follow the rules.
Meanwhile, Chief Secretary Sardar Kulwant Singh Mannan also appealed to press and media houses to refrain from broadcasting any offensive material related to Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, the Sikh Gurus, or Sikh symbols created through the misuse of Artificial Intelligence technology. He said that if such incidents need to be reported, the news should be limited to factual information only, and showing or repeating the videos or images should be avoided.
 He urged the media to fulfill its responsibility regarding such sensitive content and encourage people to report it to social media platforms and authorized agencies. He also appealed to the devotees not to forward such content but to report it instead
