Karnal, November 19: Mayor Renu Bala Gupta held a public hearing at the Municipal Corporation office on Wednesday to address public concerns and resolved them on the spot. During the hearing, she summoned officials and staff to address the issues.
At the public hearing, the Mayor listened to citizens' concerns one by one and ensured that the relevant officials were called to resolve them. She directed officials to resolve public complaints as quickly as possible. She appealed to residents to bring their complaints in writing and provide their mobile numbers so that feedback can be obtained on progress.
The Mayor directed corporation engineers to ensure prompt resolution of complaints regarding pothole filling, sewerage checkpoints, stormwater pipelines, water supply, and streetlights. He instructed sanitation inspectors to maintain good sanitation in the city and prevent encroachment in the markets.
He said that under the Haryana City Cleanliness Campaign 2025, cleanliness drives and various public awareness activities are being continuously conducted in the Municipal Corporation area, with the aim of connecting residents with the campaign and making Karnal the cleanest and most beautiful city in the country.
He appealed to city residents, especially the youth, to actively participate in the campaign, so that a public movement for cleanliness can be launched in the city, making our city even cleaner and more beautiful. He urged city residents to promote environmental protection by avoiding the use of single-use plastic.
He advised citizens that if they see garbage anywhere, they can report it on the Swachhata App and the e-Samadhaan portal. Additionally, complaints related to sewerage and water supply can be registered by calling the toll-free number 14420. The Municipal Corporation team will resolve them within a stipulated timeframe.
