The preparatory campaign is underway in.
Speaking on the occasion, the leaders of the front Sandeep Singh Gill, Mukesh Kumar, Sukhdev Dancewal, Anju Sehgal, Balkar Singh Maghania, Vinay Kumar, Jarnail Singh, Samudra Gupta, Iqbal Singh and Kuldeep Singh said that before the formation of the government in Punjab, many promises were made by the Aam Aadmi Party to the employees of Punjab like other sections, but in the last four and a half years, the Punjab government has badly ignored all the financial demands of the employees.
Moreover, the employees have been running away from their primary responsibility of paying dearness allowance to the employees every six months on the lines of the announcements of the Central Government for the past two years. The leaders further said that the Punjab government is being surrounded by a continuous fierce struggle to restore the Punjab pay scales, the old pension system and all the allowances that were cut off from the employees. The leaders alleged that the Punjab government's action of issuing show cause notices to terminate the services of 253 teachers related to 4161 master cadre recruitment is condemnable.
The leaders said that the AAP government of Punjab is working on a policy of contradiction, according to which on the one hand, there was opposition to taking away the Punjab salary pattern from the employees of Chandigarh before the formation of the government, on the other hand, even after four and a half years of the formation of the government in the state, economic exploitation continues by giving 40 percent lower salary scale to the new employees. Similarly, while the BJP government at the center remains the biggest obstacle in the restoration of the old pension, the Punjab government has refrained from restoring the old pension based on GPF as per the rules of the year 1972 despite issuing an incomplete notification on November 18, 2022 to restore the old pension system.
Along with this, the Punjab government has not yet released the pending report of the Sixth Punjab Pay Commission, but under the guise of reviewing the allowances of employees and the benefits of ACP, etc., for the last four and a half years. Apart from this, thousands of unskilled teachers have been given the status of associate teachers and deprived of the benefits of regular employees. Similarly, thousands of computer teachers serving under the Pictus Society have not been regularly merged into the education department, but their exploitation continues.
