Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, November 6: Under the directions of the Education Department and Deputy Commissioner Mohali, a mass counseling program was organized today by the District Employment and Business Bureau Mohali and District Education Office (Secondary) at School of Eminence Banur, Government High School Karala, Government High School Dappar, and Government High School Hasanpur.
On the occasion, Major (Retd.) Harpreet Singh Manshahia, Deputy Director, DBEE Mohali, said that the objective of this mass counseling is to inform students about career opportunities available in various fields and self-employment schemes, so that they can choose the right direction according to their qualifications, interests, and aptitude.
During this, Dr. Saruti Shukla (SCERT Office Mohali), Madam Nabiha (Employment Office Mohali), Sri Manveer Singh (ITI Banur), and District Guidance Counselor Sri Sushil Kumar jointly addressed the students. They said that in the modern era, career counseling has become very essential because most students face confusion in choosing the right direction after studies.
Through such programs by DBEE Mohali, students are being motivated to explore new opportunities in the fields of employment, skill development, and self-employment. During the session, detailed information was provided by the experts on medical, engineering, arts, commerce, law, sports, defense, polytechnic, ITI, PSDM, C-PYTE, self-employment schemes, and especially about the armed forces.
Students also participated enthusiastically and asked questions related to their careers. On the occasion, school principal Smt. Ritu Bala also addressed the students and highlighted the importance of guidance. On this occasion, Sri Gurcharan Singh, Block Career Teacher, along with other teachers, were present.
