Karnal, March 13: Acting under the directives of the Superintendent of Police, Karnal, and as part of a special campaign launched against illegal drug traffickers, the CIA-2 team of the Karnal District Police has achieved a significant breakthrough.
Led by CIA-1 In-charge Inspector Praveen Kumar and supervised by Assistant Sub-Inspector Ramniwas Kumar, the police team acted upon a confidential tip-off to apprehend three accused individuals: Sita Ram (son of Prakash), a resident of Vikas Colony, Karnal; Vikesh Kumar (son of Ramgyan Mahto), a resident of Bachauli, Samastipur, Bihar; and Chandan Kumar (son of Suresh Mahto), a resident of village Patpara, Samastipur, Bihar.
During a subsequent search, 2 kilograms and 25 grams of high-grade cannabis (ganja) were recovered from the possession of the accused.
Based on this recovery, a case has been registered against the accused under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act at the Taraori Police Station, Karnal (Case FIR No. 66/2026).
In connection with this case, all three accused were produced before the Honorable Court today and have been remanded to the District Jail.
