Hoshiarpur:- Srimad Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Nischalananda Saraswati Ji Maharaj, the Peethadhishwar of Govardhan Math, Puri, expressed deep concern over the current social and judicial situation of India. Maharaj Shri stated that to destroy India's glorious cultural and spiritual identity, Lord Macaulay had launched three strategic strikes under a well-thought-out plan: Clubs, Co-education, and Courts.
The Shankaracharya explained in detail how Indian identity was harmed through these three mediums. According to Maharaj Shri, the Club culture ended the restraint and dignity of Indian families. It polluted our traditional lifestyle by promoting alcohol consumption, the eating of forbidden foods, and immodest entertainment.
Attacking the Co-education system, he said that Macaulay's objective was to create an education system that would sever Indians from their traditions and make them mentally enslaved. Through co-education, the purity of Brahmacharya (celibacy/discipline) and the environment of focused study were affected, laying the foundation for the moral decline of society. 
Furthermore, commenting on the Current Judicial System, the Shankaracharya said that India's ancient Panchayat and religion-based justice system were replaced by a complex and expensive 'Court' system. Instead of searching for the truth, this system has become entangled in evidence and long procedures, making it difficult for the common man to get real justice.
Swami Nischalananda Saraswati Ji emphasized that if India is to be reinstated to the position of 'Vishwaguru' (World Leader), it must break free from these mental shackles imposed by Macaulay. He called upon the people to re-establish the tradition of Sages (Rishi-parampara) in education, truthful justice in resolving disputes, and restraint in conduct.
