Garhshankar:- Under the leadership of Principal Dr. Amandeep Hira, a lecture was organized by Red Ribbon and NACO on the topic ‘Role of Youth in Creating a Drug-Free Society’ at Babbar Akali Memorial Khalsa College Garhshankar, which is run under the management of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, in which DSP Garhshankar Daljit Singh Khakh participated as the main speaker. During the lecture, DSP Daljit Singh Khakh, while presenting his views, said that the problem of drugs has become a big challenge for the society.
Youth has an important role to play in making the society drug-free because the youth are the future of the country. While openly sharing his views with the students, he said that if the administration and students jointly take steps to solve such problems, then the day is not far when we will be able to make Punjab a drug-free Punjab.
He made the students aware of the problems of different villages and cities by giving examples and told them that such problems are making our society dirty. He called for unity to eradicate social evils and answered the questions of the staff and students.
On this occasion, Prof. Kanwar Kulwant Singh welcomed the main speaker and Dr. Janki Agarwal expressed his gratitude. On this occasion, Prof. Kanwar Kulwant Singh, Dr. Arvinder Kaur Coordinator Red Ribbon Committee, Dr. Mukesh Sharma, Dr. Harvinder Kaur and others were present.
