Mamdot/Ferozepur 14, September:- (Gurmej Singh)+ Under the leadership of Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee district leaders Dharam Singh Sidhu and Gurbhej Singh, a large meeting of farmer-labour leaders of 30-35 villages was held at Gurdwara Singh Sabha. While informing the press about the proceedings of the meeting, Major Singh said that it was announced to participate in large numbers in the KMM dharna which has started from today in front of Agriculture Minister Gurmeet Singh Khuddian's house for the achievement of demands of farmers-labourers.
The farmer leader said that on 16 September, a convoy of hundreds of tractor-trolleys, cars, jeeps etc. will march from Gurdwara Sahib Hare towards Khuddian village. This dharna-demonstration has been staged for the achievement of demands like loan waiver for labourers, investigation into paddy procurement scam, compensation for remaining crop, NREGA Rs 700/- per day, strict stand against three agriculture laws 2025 etc.
On this occasion, Fumman Singh, Kishan Singh, Balvir Singh, Avtar Singh, Jagga Singh, Ajaib Singh, Baj Singh, Kapoor Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Gurdeep Singh etc. were present.
