Karnal, October 10: The city of Karnal resounded with chants of "Bole So Nihal, Sat Sri Akal" today. The city's people bowed before the Guru's palanquin. To commemorate the birth anniversary of Guru Ramdas Ji Maharaj, a resident of Amritsar, Guru Nanak Seva Jatha Manji Sahib Gurdwara, under the guidance of Baba Sukha Singh, organized a grand Nagar Kirtan. The Nagar Kirtan began at Gurdwara Dera Kar Seva and Gurdwara Manji Sahib.
The program began with the Guru's Ardaas. On this occasion, BJP MLA Jagmohan Anand, former HSGPC member Gulab Singh, General Secretary of the Gurpurab Prabandhak Committee Inderpal Singh, and Haryana Chamber of Commerce Secretary Harmeet Singh Happy bowed before the Guru's palanquin.
Guests were welcomed with turban by Ratan Singh, former HSGPC member and head of the Guru Nanak Seva Jatha Manji Sahib Gurdwara, along with patrons Rajendra Middha, Preetpal Singh Raheja, Satinder Singh, Aman Middha, and Amritpal Singh.
The Nagar Kirtan began at Gurdwara Manji Sahib (Pahli Patshahi) and passed through Karna Gate, Committee Chowk, Sabzi Mandi Chowk, Kunjpura Road, Hospital Chowk, Nirmal Kutiya, Kalra Market, and Urban Estate, concluding at Dera Kar Seva.
Along the way, the Nagar Kirtan was welcomed by Goldie Khurana of Khurana Jewellers, Shashi Bhushan Gupta of Avon Sweets, and numerous religious organizations and businesses, including several others, showering flowers.
The five beloved ones conveyed the message of faith to the Sangat, while the Gatka Party displayed their remarkable skills. Langar stalls were set up at various locations, where devotees partook of prasad. Ratan Singh stated that a large number of Sangat participated in the Nagar Kirtan.
He announced that a Gurmat Samagam will be held at Dera Kar Seva on October 12th from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The Guru's unbroken langar will also be served during the event. A special Kirtan Darbar will be held at Gurdwara Manji Sahib starting at 6:00 PM the day before the gathering.
