Karnal, September 15:- Under the guidance and directions of Karnal Superintendent of Police Karan Goyal, Karnal District Police is continuously taking strict and effective action against persons involved in drug trafficking and the sale of illegal narcotic substances. In this connection, a team led by Sub-Inspector Rajan, In-charge of the Anti-Narcotics Cell, Karnal, took action and arrested a woman accused with 12 grams of smack.
The arrested woman has been identified as Salma, wife of Tirupati, a resident of Madrasi Colony, Karnal. A case has been registered against the accused woman at Ram Nagar Police Station, Karnal district, under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act.
According to the police, the accused woman was involved in selling smack in order to become rich quickly and fulfil her personal desires.
During interrogation, the accused woman disclosed details regarding the incident in the case.
The accused woman was produced before the Hon’ble Court today, from where she was sent to judicial custody. Further investigation in the case is underway.
