Karnal, October 28 (Praveen Walia):- In view of the festivals of Karwa Chauth and Diwali, Karnal Police has tightened security arrangements across the city. Under the directions of Karnal Superintendent of Police Karan Goel, IPS, comprehensive security measures are being implemented in markets, prominent temples, crowded areas and public places. Ensuring public safety, smooth traffic movement and the maintenance of law and order during the festive season remains a priority for the police, so that citizens can shop safely and celebrate the festivals with their families.
Security Vigilance to Be Strengthened at Markets and Temples
In view of the expected increase in crowds at markets and religious places during the festive season, police personnel are being deployed at key locations. Along with uniformed officers, plainclothes personnel will also keep watch on suspicious activities. Special surveillance will be maintained at major markets, temples, entry and exit routes, and other crowded places.
The police will remain vigilant to ensure women’s safety and prevent pickpocketing, theft, snatching and other criminal activities. Special arrangements will also be made to ensure smooth traffic movement, preventing traffic jams and ensuring that emergency services can move without obstruction.
Shopkeepers Urged to Park Vehicles Only in Designated Areas
Karnal Police has appealed to all shopkeepers to park their two-wheelers only in designated parking areas. Parking vehicles inside markets or on roads obstructs traffic and causes inconvenience to pedestrians.
Action will be taken as per rules against those who park vehicles on market roads or in restricted areas instead of designated parking spaces. Appealing for cooperation from shopkeepers and the public, the police said that collective efforts can help maintain smooth traffic flow and ensure a safe and convenient environment in markets.
Karnal Police has appealed to the public to remain alert during the festive season, immediately report any suspicious activity to the police, and follow safety and traffic rules to support the police administration.
