Haroli/Una, June 21 (Rajveer Chopra): The 'Joti-Jot Diwas' of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj was observed with deep reverence and devotion at the historic religious site, Tap Asthan Sri Guru Ravidas, Khuralgarh Sahib. A large number of devotees (Sangat) attended the event, bowing their heads at the Guru's feet to seek blessings.
During the program, the Kirtani Jatha (devotional music group) comprising Bhai Baljinder Singh and Bhai Deepak Singh presented melodious Gurbani Kirtan. Additionally, the congregation was encouraged to follow the path shown by Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, with the program highlighting his great teachings and life philosophy.
Speakers also enlightened the gathering about the life struggles and contributions to social reform made by Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar.
Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Chief Sewadar Baba Kewal Singh announced that the 650th Prakash Parv (birth anniversary) of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj would be celebrated with great reverence and enthusiasm in February 2027.
He appealed to the entire Sangat and villagers of the region to unite and participate in the main ceremony at Tap Asthan Sri Khuralgarh Sahib to mark the 650th Prakash Utsav.
He also requested that local Prakash Utsav celebrations in the villages be scheduled on dates other than the main event, so that the maximum number of devotees could gather at Khuralgarh Sahib to grace this historic occasion.
The event was attended by Chief Sewadar Baba Kewal Singh, Treasurer Baba Harbhajan Singh, Baba Naresh Singh, Baba Sukhdev Singh, Charan Bharti, Chaudhary Jeet Singh, and other prominent devotees and members of the Sangat. The program concluded with 'Ardas' (prayer), followed by the distribution of 'Guru ka Attut Langar' (community kitchen meal) among the congregation.
