Nawanshahr:- Today, on the call of Joint Labor Front, rural and farm labor organizations staged a protest in front of DC office Nawanshahr against the abolition of MGNREGA, Electricity Amendment Bill 2025, and the implementation of four labor codes. Addressing this protest, PMU state president Tarsem Peter, union district leader Kamaljit Sanawa, IFTU state president Kulwinder Singh Waraich, Hari Ram Rasulpuri, Khet Mazdoor Sabha leader Niranjan Das, All India Khet Mazdoor Union leader Kuldeep Jhingar, Kiranjit Kaur, Surinder Mirpur, Ladikot Ranjha, Surinder Sanawa said that the Modi government has launched a huge attack on the working class by implementing four labor codes.
The rights that the working class had achieved through decades of struggle have been abolished. The Modi government has come to the rescue of two crore workers and employees of the country by ending the MGNREGA and bringing a new law, developed India. He said that the Modi government is preparing to hand over electricity to corporators through the Electricity Amendment Bill 2025.
With which electricity subsidies will end and the path will be paved for blind looting of electricity consumers, which should be strongly opposed. Speaking against the Mann government of the Aam Aadmi Party of Punjab, the leaders said that this government has also proven to be anti-labor, which has made a 12-hour work day for workers working in businesses and shops.
Mukesh Malaud, the president of the Land Acquisition Struggle Committee, who is struggling to provide a third of the panchayat lands to the Dalits for cultivation, was arrested. This is the same Mann government that has not fulfilled its promise of giving one thousand rupees monthly to every woman in its election manifesto till date.
