Patiala, August 1:- The residents of Joginder Nagar located in Badungar under Ward No. 56, which is considered one of the posh areas of the city, have been facing huge problems due to the dilapidated roads for many years. In this regard, due to the efforts of former Brigadier Advavidya Madan and Nidhi Madan, MLA of the urban constituency Ajitpal Singh Kohli visited the area with the demand for early start of development work in the area.
During this, the leaders of Joginder Nagar Welfare Society Sharanjit Singh, Manmukh Singh Sidhu, Jasvir Singh and Shivaji Dhariwal informed the MLA about the main problems of the area. They said that the broken roads of Joginder Nagar have not been renovated for the last three years. Due to potholes formed at various places on the roads, traffic is being affected and people have to face huge difficulties every day.
The residents of the area said that the situation becomes even more serious during the rainy season, as there is no proper arrangement for drainage of rainwater. Apart from this, the road from Bank Colony Chowk to Pratap Nagar is also in a very poor condition. A large number of people and vehicles travel through this road every day, due to which people have to face huge problems.
MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli assured the residents of the area that the construction of the road from Badungar to Pratap Nagar will start soon. He said that the renovation of the roads of Joginder Nagar will also be done within the next one and a half months, so that people can get relief from the traffic problems.
Bhalinder Singh, Harpreet Singh, Jagdeep Singh, Bhagwan Das, Jaswinder Singh, Anil, Gurjinder Singh, Shalinder, Sadhu Singh and other local residents were present on this occasion.
