Garhshankar:- A jatha of the Kirti Kisan Union left from Adda Samundra under the leadership of the organization's state vice president Harmesh Singh Dhesi to join the conference and march being organized by the Qomi Insaaf Morcha in Chandigarh for the release of imprisoned Sikhs and political activists.
Issuing a statement to the press, the organization's district secretary Kulwinder Singh Chahal said that the central government has been keeping Sikh prisoners and many intellectual activists who have completed their sentences in jails for the past several years. Which is a complete disrespect to the constitution. Therefore, all of them should be released soon.
The farmer leaders also strongly condemned the use of lathicharge and tear gas on the protesters who were marching during the march.
