New Delhi:- The domestic stock market closed in the red for the second consecutive day this week. Heavy selling in media and IT stocks pushed the Sensex down 313.70 points (0.36%) to 84,587.01 on Tuesday. During the day, it closed down 363.98 points or 0.42 per cent at 84,536.73.
On the other hand, the Nifty fell 93.91 points (0.36%) to 25,865.60. Shares of Adani Enterprises fell 3 per cent, and shares of Trent fell 2 per cent. The rupee also fell 4 paise.
