Nawanshahr:- Istri Jagriti Manch will protest on August 6 in Nawanshahr against the police registration of cases, arrest and harassment of youth and students who participated in the protest at Jantar Mantar Delhi demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the leak of NEET exam paper last month.
Giving this information here today, Istri Jagriti Manch state leaders Hardeep Kaur Kotla and Rupinder Kaur Durgapur said that protesting is a democratic and constitutional right of an individual, but the police of the Modi government at the center and the BJP governments of the states are arresting and harassing those who protested at Jantar Mantar.
The BJP leaders' vulgar comments about the protesting girls are obvious, but the harsh satires by the protestors on the Modi government are insulting to the BJP members. They are justifying the police's brutality on the protestors. The women leaders have demanded that the police stop harassing the protestors. They said that the women will gather at the bus stand in Nawanshahr at 10 am on August 6, after which a demonstration will be held in the city.
