Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, July 27, 2026:- With the aim of ensuring the timely resolution of the demands and complaints of the traders by the District Administration, an important meeting was held today at the District Administrative Complex with the officers of the District Traders Commission and the concerned departments. During the meeting, various demands and complaints of the traders related to GMADA, Police Department, Electricity Department and Law and Order were raised in detail.
Assistant Commissioner (G) Dr. Ankita Kansal said that it is very important to resolve the legitimate problems of the traders immediately for the smooth running of business activities. She instructed the officers of the concerned departments to resolve the complaints received on priority basis and no matter should be kept pending unnecessarily.
During this meeting, chaired by Chairman District Traders Commission Ranjit Pal Singh, development works related to GMADA, traffic and security arrangements, problems related to power supply, traffic parking and issues related to law and order were discussed in detail. Dr. Kansal asked the officers to work in coordination with each other and ensure the speedy resolution of these matters.
He said that the district administration is fully sensitive to the legitimate demands of the traders and all possible steps are being taken to make the business environment more comfortable. He assured that regular dialogue between the traders and the administration will be continued so that their problems can be resolved in a timely manner.
On this occasion, Chairman District Traders Commission Mr. Ranjit Pal Singh said that the issues raised by the traders related to sewerage, cleanliness, roads, increasing police patrolling to prevent thefts in the market and other basic facilities were heard and discussed. He said that continuous coordination is being made with the departments to resolve the problems. He assured that the legitimate problems of the traders would be resolved in a time-bound manner. He also said that better coordination between the administration and the business community would further strengthen business activities.
The meeting was attended by District Traders Commission Vice Chairman Tarlochan Singh Baidwan, Mohali Constituency Chairman Akwinder Singh Gosal, Kharar Constituency Chairman Yashpal Bansal and officers and representatives of various departments.
