Ambala, 29 July:- On Wednesday an important development happened in politics of Ambala Cantt when independent councillor of Ward 5 Jeevan Kumar along with his supporters and workers joined 'Team Chitra' of Haryana's young leader and who had given tough competition to Minister Anil Vij in last elections Chitra Sarwara. He along with all his companions reached Chitra's residence and expressed his political loyalty by joining her. 
On this occasion along with him Jaswinder Singh, Arun Garg, Sushil Rana, Prasad Yadav, Pandit Sham Lal, Harminder Singh, Karnail Singh, Manoj Kumar Jhamb, Sanjay Sisodia, Vijay Sisodia, Vicky Sisodia etc companions were included. On this occasion Councillor Sandeep Deepi, Rahul Sonkar Veeru, Ajay Pehlwan, Kushalpal Rana and Ashish Sharma along with Team Chitra members welcomed Jeevan Kumar and his companions.
Welcoming all Chitra Sarwara said that this is not of one person but symbol of increasing faith of public in systemic change. She is confident that this family will keep growing and will serve public with full dedication.
Councillor Jeevan Kumar said that he has taken this decision not due to any personal reasons but after much discussion and contemplation on sorrows of people of his area and city. He alleged that present system of partiality, discrimination, nepotism and oppressive working style has deeply damaged democratic values. He said that Municipal Council has failed to live up to expectations of general public and many areas including Ward No. 5 are being continuously ignored in name of development. Despite announcements of crores of rupees, development as expected is not visible on ground and public is still struggling for basic facilities. He expressed confidence that under leadership of Chitra Sarwara entire team will give topmost priority to development of city, transparency, public participation and public welfare. He claimed that increasing resentment towards ruling party in city is now becoming clear and people are looking for alternative for change.
In her address, Chitra Sarwara said that public has moved beyond politics of slogans, advertisements and announcements. She alleged that despite big claims of spending crores of rupees in name of development, broken roads, water logging problem, sewerage system, drinking water crisis and poor civic amenities have become daily reality for people. She said that during monsoon season condition of city is proof of big gap between claims of development and ground reality.
Chitra Sarwara said that last election was not just a political contest for her but proof of immense faith and love of people. If public gives them opportunity to serve in future then her priorities will be transparent administration, accountability, honest work and equal development in every ward without any discrimination.
